The Ellerhoop-Thiensen Arboretum is located between Pinneberg and Barmstedt and belongs to the municipality of Ellerhoop, district of Thiensen. The landscaped park is located on the edge of the Bilsbek lowlands. It is embedded in the typical Holstein hedgerow landscape.

The Ellerhoop-Thiensen Arboretum covers a total area of around 17 hectares, of which around 7.5 hectares are available to the public as a local recreation area and for school and adult education purposes.

Every year, more than 100,000 garden enthusiasts and people seeking relaxation from all over Europe visit the arboretum to gain professional inspiration or simply to enjoy the beauty of the park.
