Rosa von Harrach was the sole heir to her father's rich estate; she married Prince Josef Kinsky in 1777. It was Rosa von Kinsky who gave the palace its current appearance between 1780 and 1792. Rosenhof Castle, to which a considerable forest property still belongs to this day and has its own forestry and sawmill, is owned by the Kinsky family.
