The detour to Boxberg is a must, because at 78 meters it is one of the highest peaks in Schleswig-Holstein. And it's worth it, because the view from up here is wonderful.

With a height of 77 m, the Boxberg is the highest point in the Aukrug Nature Park. It was pushed up by glaciers 120,000 years ago and takes its name from the old German word “Booksberg”, which means “Buchenberg”. There are many leisure activities on offer, including a forest and adventure trail, a fitness and jogging trail and a bridle path.
