The water of the Langenfeld waterfall falls 15 meters down into the Höllental. It is a natural rock barrier that forms an impressive valley head here and thus also the highest natural waterfall in Lower Saxony. It is at an altitude of 298 m above sea level. The waterfalls in the Harz, on the other hand, are man-made. The Langenfeld waterfalls are among the highlights of the Hohenstein area in the Süntel.
