The camping area Mellannäsudden located at lake Lilla Trehörningen is one of three overnight camping areas in Tiveden. It is easily accessible from the parking lot Ösjönäs (~ 1 km) and offers space for ~ 10 tents in a designated area delineated by rope. Tents may be build up after 6 pm in the evening and have to be built down before 10 am the next morning as it is not allowed to have tents during the day.There is a fire place surrounded by some benches with provided fire wood, an axe and saw for splitting and sawing the wood as needed. In the whole national park it is not allowed to collect any wooden materials. 50m from the fire site, there is a toilet.It is possible to go for a swim at lake Lilla Trehörningen, however the water is very shallow inshore with potential risk of injury caused by sharp-edged stones.
