Absolutely great views. Very nice hiking trail. First it goes through a rather lovely forest landscape, at the end with a sporty climb. Then you climb just below the grade on fairly alpine terrain - you certainly need your hands here. Below the grade it goes (sometimes very exposed, but mostly with lines to hold on) through a spectacular mountain backdrop. There are always short scrambling games in between. The descent to the gondola station is an alpine path that was unfortunately partially damaged during our inspection (August 2020).
For people with little alpine experience, the bottom line may be that the path is too demanding. Otherwise definitely worth it.
The walking time for us was just under three hours, with a few breaks.
