Sanibel's award-winning Bowman's Beach

Several miles of secluded white sand beach with plenty of room to play, relax or collect shells. USA News Travel recognizes Bowman's Beach as one of the top 10 beaches in the world and has been recognized by Travelocity as one of the top 25 beaches in the USA!

Bowman's Beach is off the Sanibel-Captiva Road just past J.N. "Ding" Darling Wildlife Refuge.

This Sanibel Island beach is a short hike (about 10 minutes) from the parking lot to the beach. Follow the marked path through the wooded area over the jetty and dunes. There is no sale of snacks or similar here.
Bowmans Beach amenities include parking, bike racks, shaded playground, BBQ grills, picnic tables, outdoor showers and toilet facilities (portable toilet).

When you get to the beach walk to your right (WNW) it wont take long for you to leave the crowds and find yourself on one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. Don't forget to bring water!

If you collect shells, you can find particularly beautiful ones here.
The beach is beautiful for relaxing and swimming.
The water is wonderfully warm and clear.
A walk by the water is always the greatest relaxation.
You just have to have been here, even if the parking fee is $5/hour. is not exactly cheap. But it is also very clean here and there are toilets and showers.
