The corn mill has an eventful history. It was first mentioned in 1810/11 in the map by the French engineer and geographer Tranchot. In 1817 it was referred to as a full mill, a mill in which fabrics and leather were further processed.
The corn mill, which was named after its owners, actually consisted of two mill buildings, so it was not small. The mill mentioned above stood on the side facing the Ueßbach and was demolished in 1980 because it was dilapidated. The building, including the barn and bakery on the other side, burned down in 1943 and the charred and uninhabited building gradually fell into disrepair until it was bought by private hands in 1984 and rebuilt.

Now the building seems to be available either privately or as a barbecue area for Meiserich, I write that with reservations. In any case, appropriate barbecue and seating areas are available. A general information board about the mills can be found on a bench next to the building.
