"The Spitzrain fountain [with seating] is located below the Spitzrain, on a popular hiking trail to the wildlife park in Kaiserslautern. The fountain is a facility [from 1966] that was donated to a forest [= city forest "Spitzrain"] in 1303 by King Albrecht [1248 – 1308] reminded of the city of Kaiserslautern.
The gift of the 'nobleman' [in gratitude for faithful service] provided the town with the many products formerly used from the forest. It was thus the basis for a certain level of prosperity in the city of Kaiserslautern. [...] Further below the following saying is engraved:
KING ALBERT // SHALL BE BLESSED,
WHO GIVES US // THE TOP RAIN - 1303"
