Looking around, you immediately realize that the term "Glacier View" could hardly have been more aptly chosen. All around, you have a clear view of some of the valley's most important peaks and the mighty glacier fields, known in Tyrol as "Ferner." Looking east, you can see the Habicht, where the Mischbachferner extends to just below the summit, almost as well as the Grünauferner near the Wilder Freiger – a little further to the right of the Habicht. To the south, you can see the Zuckerhütl, Wilder Freiger, and Wilder Pfaff. Below the flank of the Zuckerhütl, the Sulzenauferner, the largest glacier in the Stubai Alps, pushes down into the valley. It is also what gives the entire valley its alpine character and is visible even at the entrance to the Stubai Valley. Particularly impressive is its bluish, shimmering, wave-shaped icefall, which flows into a glacial lake.
