Kufstein Fortress is one of Tyrol's most famous landmarks, perched majestically on a rock overlooking the Inn River and the town of Kufstein. Its origins date back to the 13th century, when it was first documented. Over the centuries, the complex was expanded and fortified several times, particularly during the Habsburg era, when it played a crucial strategic role on the border between Bavaria and Tyrol.

The imposing Emperor's Tower, the historic gate complex, and the impressive fortress walls are especially worth seeing. Today, the fortress houses a museum that vividly presents the eventful history of the complex and the region. Regular cultural events, concerts, and festivals also take place, attracting visitors from near and far. Another highlight is the Heroes' Organ, the world's largest open-air organ, whose sounds resonate throughout the town daily.

The fortress is easily accessible by bicycle – the route leads through Kufstein's picturesque old town and offers stunning views of the fortress and the Inn Valley.
