If you're cycling to Rauðisandur, the Melanes campsite is the perfect place to stop and sleep. Peaceful, with spectacular views and the sound of the sea in the background, it's one of those places where you wake up and think you're at the end of the world (in a good way). There's no stress, just endless red sand, absolute peace, and the feeling that nature has reserved this corner just for you.
