If you look up from Mayerling to the "Bischofsmütze", you could perhaps see the shape of a clerical headgear in the summit rocks with a lot of imagination. Otherwise it has nothing in common with the well-known rock formation in the Dachstein Mountains (Gosaukamm). Although the Bischofsmütze south of Mayerling is somewhat overshadowed by its well-known neighbors Peilstein and Schöpfl, the view from the summit can be seen in the truest sense of the word. With the historically significant town of Mayerling as the starting point and a partial ascent of the Via Sacra, there is a small hiking treat for the whole family.
