The village of Taghia is a remote one.
It's still an insider tip among professional mountaineers from all over Europe. My guide, with whom I stayed in March, had neither heating nor hot water. In the communal dining room, we warmed ourselves with a few logs. At that time, there was still snow on the mountains.
To reach this passage, you should ask for a guide. The roads to the village are single-track gravel paths along the ridge with a steep slope. There's no GPS or internet reception there. You can ask the very friendly villagers, and they'll help you out, even if they don't speak English.
You should be free from vertigo and wear sturdy footwear for the hike.
All the effort is worth it.
