    The small St. Gallus Church is located on a mountain high above the Ebrachgrund. History shows that people have built, maintained, rebuilt and rebuilt "their" church over the centuries.
    In the 30-year war, the nobles of Crailsheim destroyed the little mountain church out of envy and vindictiveness. The people then celebrated so-called ruin services for over 100 years until the foundation stone was laid for a new church in September 1749. The inauguration took place a year later, namely in 1750. Significant repairs were carried out on the church as early as 1784, which was exposed to wind and weather due to its location. Until the new church was built in 1855, the church was repaired several times on a makeshift basis and even temporarily blocked by the police. Only the foundations of the church, inaugurated in 1750, are still standing today. Thanks to the renewed willingness of the population to donate, in 1950 two bronze bells were purchased, which were in service just in time for the 200th anniversary. Only through the continuous commitment of the population over the centuries could this Franconian gem be preserved in its current appearance.
