        Great attention was always paid to preserving the impressive and romantic beauty of Lake Constance for holidaymakers and day guests. Despite the large number of visitors, the focus at the Forellenhof is on peace and quiet, the breathtaking panorama and the enjoyment of regional and national delicacies.

        After Mr. Fink senior acquired Lake Constance in 1955, construction of the Forellenhof began in 1957. Since there was only a primitive footpath at the time, the delivery of building materials alone presented the builders with an enormous challenge. Construction progress therefore took several years. The inn on Lake Constance was opened at the end of 1960. In 1968, work began on building the in-house power plant, which still exists today, and the following year, extensions to the building were made. The "Gasthof Bodensee" was finally renamed "Forellenhof am Steirischen Bodensee" with the construction of the in-house trout farm. In the years that followed, we tried to offer guests new attractions. For example, a mill in Murau was dismantled and rebuilt on Lake Constance, which is still in working order today.

        With the renovation in 2017/2018, we combined the traditional restaurant with a modern flair for you. In addition to the spacious and covered sun terrace, we have now also expanded the guest room for our guests.
