Stancija Grande, also known as Villa Cesare, is a historic estate near Savudrija that once shone as a symbol of Istrian aristocracy. It was built in the early 19th century, first as Borozija, by the Borisi family, and then passed into the ownership of the Fabris family from Piran. In 1877, it was purchased by the Trieste industrialist Carlo Cesare, who transformed the estate into a luxurious country residence with a neo-Gothic style, a high tower and a landscaped park. The estate had all the modern comforts of the time, including electricity and its own port. However, after World War II, the estate began to decline. After the war, it was used as a military base, and then abandoned. Today, it lies in ruins, but still bears the mark of its former glory. In addition to its historical value, Stancija Grande is also the subject of local legends, including the story of a love tragedy between Francesco Fabris Pallato and the merchant Mario Morpurgo de Nilma, who are said to have fallen in love.

Although in poor condition today, Stancija Grande remains a valuable part of Istrian heritage that deserves to be restored and preserved for future generations.
