It may have been the death of the Pope, Easter, the spring in bloom, but a great miracle has happened! The new cycle path from Dese to Ponte Alto was supposed to be ready by 09/30/24 and, finally, it is passable without forcing the barriers, signposted and with buttercups in bloom. Even the new cable-stayed bridge over the Zero, whose work was supposed to be finished by 12/31/24, is in fact passable, there are still some barriers but they can be overcome without difficulty. They were probably moved for the Easter holidays or illegally, no one knows. Looking closely, a large metal plate still has to be fixed to cover the gap between the bridge and the cycle path and perhaps also a balustrade to protect the incipient slope. However, even without an official inauguration, it was possible to experience the emotion of the first time crossing the bridge which will involve a shortening of 4/5 km on the route to reach the Archaeological Museum of Altino from the Alto bridge via Zuccarello without taking the long way round to S. Liberale, Le Crete, via Claudia Augusta in Quarto. Obviously, nothing prevents you from taking the long way round on the Zero embankment.
Not even the resurrection of Lazarus had required so much time and effort!
It's just a shame that the morning had started with an overcast sky, the colours of the photos and videos suffered, it will be for another time!
