This building was built in 1935, designed by the provincial architect G. Careels. The appearance is very similar to that of the town hall of Bonheiden, built in the period 1936-1937 designed by the same architect. Due to the merger of 1976 it became redundant, and in the 1980s it was converted into a justice of the peace court.

Fairly sober neo-traditional, yet monumental-looking complex, with a brick gable of three bays and two storeys under a steep saddle roof (ridge perpendicular to the street, slates) on the street side. The emphasis is on the rather neo-Gothic tinted, central basket-arched portico and loggia and the square staircase tower built into the right under a tent roof. Processing of natural stone for neo-traditional elements such as monastery frames, scaffolding holes and corner blocks.

The building is now the headquarters of Pauwels & Partners Law Firm.
