Haikkoo Telegrafberget (Swedish: Telegrafberget) is a popular lookout point in the forest next to the Haikkoo Manor Hotel and Spa in Porvoo, offering views over the bay and the Haikon Hills. Lennätinvuori is part of Porvoo National Park. The Lennätinvuori Nature Reserve was established on October 14, 1961, by a resolution of the Uusimaa County Government. A lookout tower was built on the rock in the 1990s, with a table and benches next to it. On the side of the lookout tower is a painting by Albert Edelfelt entitled "Summer Evening on Haikko's Back," painted in the autumn of 1899, as well as a plaque telling the story of Telegrafberget. There are two official hiking trails to Näköalakallio, one starting at the intersection of Haikkoontie and Mohikaanipolu, and the other at the Haikkoontie Manor parking lot. During the Crimean War in 1854, a telegraph line was built between Hanko and Kronstadt, St. Petersburg. Between Hankoniemi and Pitkäpaaten, there were 42 optical telegraph stations. One of the stations on the line was located at Haikkoon Lennätinvuori. The telegraph line was only in operation for two summers, as it was replaced in 1855 by the electromagnetic telegraph line from St. Petersburg to Helsinki.
