    The early Celtic fortification is considered one of the most beautiful such prehistoric buildings. It lies on a hilltop, which breaks off moderately on three sides and almost perpendicular to the Wiesent towards the east.
    The whole northeastern flank, as well as parts of the west and south flank, offer towering cliffs natural protection. The plateau is protected on its south and west flank by a strong, more than one meter high and ten meters wide stone wall, the former stone wall. In the north and in the east, only a plank wall was built, since natural conditions provided for sufficient coverage here.
    To the south lies the 20 meter long and eight meter wide Torgasse. A blackboard shows a reconstruction of the main gate of this plant.

    Late Hallstatt and Early Neolithic finds permit a dating of the fortification to the time of the late sixth century BC to the early fourth century BC. Thus, the plant was about the same time settled to the large oppidum on the Ehrenbürg.
