    The Dobersdorfer See is a lake between Schlesen (eastern shore) and the districts of Jasdorf (southern shore), Gut Dobersdorf (western shore) and Tökendorf (northwestern shore) of the municipality of Dobersdorf in the Plön district of Schleswig-Holstein.

      The lake is approximately 312 hectares in size, making it the thirteenth largest lake in Schleswig-Holstein. It has an average depth of 5.4 m, a maximum depth of 19.5 m, and a direct catchment area of approximately 24 km². The lake is divided into a shallow western basin and a deep eastern basin, separated by Möweninsel (Seagull Island). The lake's only outflow is the Jarbek River, through which approximately seven million m³ of water drain from the lake annually. This stream ends after just 1,000 m in Lake Passad, which drains into the Baltic Sea via the Hagener Au. The most important tributary is the Selkau River, which flows into the lake approximately 100 m south of the Schlesen town limits. The water level is regulated by a weir on Lake Passad.

Its shape was preserved by dead ice after the glaciers retreated. The terminal moraine of the Selent ice margin still exists in the south of the lake. The lake is a calcareous polymictic lake, with unstable temperature stratification in large parts. Only in the deep basin does a stable stratification occur in summer.
