    The manor Friedrichshausen near Sievershausen am Solling - the seat of the von Garmissen family since 1212 - experienced an eventful history. Nothing can be seen of the initial development today. It was completely destroyed in the course of the "Hildesheimer Stiftsfehde" of 1525 and was only replaced by a rather undemanding new building after 1664 in the difficult time after the Thirty Years' War, which is also no longer preserved. Today's large main house dates from the 19th century. Some larger, old buildings, barns and stables in need of renovation became obsolete in the post-war period in the course of the modernization of agriculture and had to be demolished for reasons of cost.
    The entire courtyard ensemble is now a listed building. Friedrichshausen was an independent municipality until it was incorporated into the neighboring village of Sievershausen in 1928. At that time, many families lived on the estate who worked for the farm and there were still horses, cows, pigs, sheep and lots of breeding and small cattle, including the stables required for them.
