On October 1, 1993, the e.o.plauen Gallery opened in Plauen, a joint project of the city of Plauen and its twin city Siegen, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Salamander AG. Since 1995, the city of Plauen, together with the e.o.plauen Society, has awarded the e.o.plauen Prize in his memory. On September 24, 2010, the Erich Ohser House was inaugurated in Plauen.
