During his stays at Sanssouci Palace, Frederick the Great valued the intimate atmosphere of the Chinese house, which carried him off to distant, cheerful worlds.
The playful Rococo Pavilion is probably the most charming surviving example of chinoiserie fashion, which shaped court culture throughout Europe in the 18th century.

The tea house is definitely a highlight in the park. It nestles in the park with a rather exotic appearance. It is forbidden to carry bicycles (including pushing them) anywhere in the park. But we only noticed that later, because there was no corresponding sign at the entrance, which we use. There are also controls at important tourist points and fines. Bikes can be parked in front of the park entrances. However, it is very difficult to visit the entire park on foot.
