    In the southwest of the Kaiserstuhl, the Breisach St. Stephen's Cathedral greets you from afar. Situated high on the Münsterberg, Breisach's landmark towers over the houses of the old town and the Rhine plain. Romanesque and Gothic elements characterize the cathedral, which was probably begun in the 12th century and completed in the late 15th century.
