Luiza's Wood stretches around the remains of the Teutonic Castle in Człuchów and its walls.

The beginnings of the park date back to 1800, when the first squares were created on the Kujawy peninsula. In 1807, during a trip to Tylża, the Prussian Queen Luiza stopped near Człuchów, and was delighted with the views and nature she found there.

A few years later, the peninsula was named Luiza Hill, and the local residents created a small forest there. In 1991, the area became the property of the city of Człuchów, and in 2008 it was entered into the register of historical monuments. Its renovation was co-financed by the European Union.
