Bøstrup Church was built in the 13th century. The nave is from the original part of the church and you can still see the small Romanesque windows. It is believed that the church originally had an apse, but it had neither a porch nor a tower. After the Reformation around 1570, however, the church was given a tower and vaulted ceilings were built. The church also received wall paintings, and the church is said to have been very beautiful. Unfortunately, the lime paintings have disappeared, as has the original Renaissance altarpiece. All that remains is the eye of God at the top. The interior of the church has been completely whitewashed for 200 years. To commemorate the restoration of the tower in 1829, the year is engraved next to the count's initials.
