Written sources say that in the village of Minčias, on the banks of the Minčias river, a water mill was built in 1792, and grain began to be milled more than 200 years ago. The gentlemen of Minčias manor, who owned the mill, were progressive businessmen of the time who knew how to harness the power of rivers and streams. In the manor, logs and boards were cut using water, there was even a copper mint, where pieces of copper were flattened by a movable block of Minčias stream water - a hammer. The mill was equipped with 4 windmills and a woolen screen. All the constructions near the stream were carried out with such skill and care that even today the guests of the resort can see the authentic details of the old mill - massive walls, a water-rotating mill wheel, an impressive dam with cascades of water falling on the blades of the wheel. Those cascades move and foam both in summer and in winter, giving guests a lot of joy - you can even look and crawl under their invigorating current.
