The reserve antenna consists of the two masts, which are still 234 meters high and are offset from the main masts. The year 1959 caused a stir. For technical reasons, a transmission mast had to be moved 103 meters in a vertical position, which meant a technical masterpiece. When the weather is good, this vantage point also offers a wonderful view over the Saar valley and the area around Saarlouis, the fortress city built by the "Sun King" Louis XIV.
