Mountains are usually impressive but when they’re part of a crashing coastline, they can be even more magnificent. Slieve League (also known as Sliabh Laig and Slieve Laig), is one such wonder. An epic peak with some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe and a summit at 1,955 feet (596 m), the mountain’s cliffs are almost three times higher than Ireland’s famous Cliffs of Moher.

Slieve League is a mountain on the Atlantic coast of County Donegal, Ireland. At 594 metres, it has some of the highest sea cliffs on the island of Ireland. Although less famous than the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, Slieve League's cliffs reach almost three times higher. It has a trig pointed summit and is a designated Marilyn but just below the height required for it to be a Hewitt. A superb mountain to do with world class views.

The Slieve League in Ireland is a stunning place to hike. The mountain is 600 meters high and offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, including the Atlantic. The most popular hiking trail is the cliff path, which runs along the cliffs and is a challenge for any hiker who likes to hike at heights. However, there are also flatter trails for less experienced hikers. The landscape is characterized by green hills and cliffs that jut out into the sea. Slieve League is a must for anyone wanting to experience the great outdoors of Ireland.
