The Süderhafen is beautifully situated on the Nordstrand peninsula and boasts a unique panoramic view of Husum Bay and a location close to nature. It is the home port of the Nordstrander Wassersportverein von 1973 e.V. The port is located on the Heverstrom on the southeast side of Nordstrand and has 52 berths on stern posts (19 of which are for guest moorers), which fall dry at low tide. The tidal range is approx. 3.5 m. Depending on the draft, the berths can be reached 2.5-3 hours before and after high tide. The port also has a slipway for sports boats of all sizes and a small slipway for dinghies and canoes. The berths for guest moorers are not specially marked. You can moor anywhere where there are no stern lines attached to the slip rings of the stern posts. Water and electricity are available from the lamp posts along the berths.
