    The Brügge Mühle watermill, built in 1510, was lovingly and passionately restored and repaired by the owner.       The mill, powered by the Emmerbach stream, formerly belonged to the noble Brügge manor. A mill was mentioned as early as December 1568, when a change of ownership occurred. In 1648, the estate was purchased by von Ascheberg zu Ichterloh. In 1718, the Imperial Count of Fürstenberg zu Herdringen acquired the Brügge house. The estate had long been leased as agricultural land. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Niesmann family acquired the estate and the mill. Fine flour was milled at the mill until 1957. The grist mill remained in operation until the early 1960s. The construction of the Hansalinie A1 motorway, which crosses the Emmerbach valley on a dam, eliminated the possibility of damming the mill. The last hydropower milling operation took place on March 14, 1963.
