It is about 1000 meters in altitude and about 3 hours ascent from the Fischleintal through the Altensteintal to the Dreizinnenhütte. You will be rewarded with one of the most beautiful and well-known mountain views in the Alps. Be sure to pay attention to the avalanche situation!

After all that climbing the final kilometre before reaching the Dreizinnenhütte will be one to cherish. The trail is a bit easier here – certainly a lot more frequented than other trails and arguably could be busy with hikers during the height of the summer season.

The Tre Cime are a real symbol of the Dolomites, and you won't be able to miss the Cima Grande (2,999 m), Cima Ovest (2,973 m) and Cima Piccola (2,857 m). There's a huge amount of WWI history as this rocky area was a major strategic battlefield during war.
