The Lochmühle mill is located on the Blau River. It was first mentioned in 1346. The half-timbered building, dating from 1600, was restored in 1977.

The mill is powered by an undershot waterwheel.

Today, the mill houses a restaurant.

The Lochmühle is one of the oldest mills in Ulm. The historic building, located on the Blau River tributary of the Danube, was first documented in 1346. In 1977, the historic building was transformed into the "Zur Lochmühle" inn. The large mill wheel was installed in its original location and is now the unmistakable landmark of the inn, located directly on the Blau River.

Since 1987, the Schubert family has operated this cozy old town restaurant with its popular beer garden. In January 2024, Wilhelm Schubert Jr. took over the restaurant and is now the second generation to run it.
