Right next to the church there is a monument to soldiers - residents of Plöwen - who died during World War I.
The church itself is a hall building, made of carefully arranged blocks of field stone, built at the end of the 13th century. After a fire in 1848, a square but octagonal red brick western tower was added in 1852. The neo-Gothic tower has a northern portal. There are offset sound holes in the bell chamber, and the Carl Friedrich Voss bell, cast in Szczecin in 1852, hangs in it. An octagonal copper helmet rises above the four tops of the shields. Since the 18th century, the eastern wall has been strengthened by two strong load-bearing pillars. The pointed group of three windows was rebuilt in brick in the 19th century with connected arches on granite consoles. The eastern gable was rebuilt after the fire and shows three panels with a pointed-arch brick frame. The southern portal is particularly distinguished, with profiled granite walls and a heavy cornice. After the fire, the neo-Gothic brick tracery also received windows in the nave. The interior has a beamed ceiling. The uniform neo-Gothic furnishings come from the time after the fire around 1850.
