    Special school * An der Buhne
    After a year of construction, on 16.10. 1907 the Higher School for Girls was inaugurated. A panel of judges awarded first prize to the design by the architect Otto Herold/Düsseldorf, along with two others from a total of 30 competition projects.
    The master carpenter Max Viereck from Perleberg carried out the shell of the school building designed for 250 children.
    The first director of the 142 students was Dr. Paul Pachaly.
    From 1911 the name changes to Lyceum. 1922-1930 the museum occupies four rooms on the ground floor.
    After the Second World War, an eventful history began for what was then renamed the "Goethe School". Between 1959 and 1982, the advanced secondary school was housed there until the central auxiliary school became the new host.
    Today the school building houses the "Allgemeine Förderschule".
