The challenging C9 trail starts at the football pitch car park (P21) in Leutasch. The car park is a popular cross-country ski entry point (A7 Gasse, A6 Alpenbad and of course C9 Plaik) with toilet facilities, ticket machine and large cross-country panoramic map.

The C9 is still a real insider tip, but requires a lot of stamina. After a gentle start, there is a steep climb behind the church of St. Magdalena. Once you have mastered this, you first go along the edge of the forest and then across open fields in a constant up and down through the districts of Plaik and Klamm. The circuit ends again at the football pitch car park, where the A7 is ideal for a leisurely cool down.

Places to stop off next to the trail are the Jausenalm on the Lärchenhang, the Gasthaus Birkegg and the Kühtaierhof.
