        The Via Sacra - or the Holy Road - is a tourist route that connects 20 stations in Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland on existing roads and paths. In doing so, it connects outstanding sacred buildings and art treasures in the trinational Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa. With its Saxon, Bohemian, Silesian and Sorbian roots, this has an eventful history, shaped by the coexistence of different cultures.

        As a pilgrim on the Via Sacra, you embark on a journey through the centuries along religious sites and surrounded by unique natural diversity. But when you visit places of silence and faith, you can not only trace their history. Mindfulness and awareness of one's own feelings are also promoted, so that one can take a break from everyday life in the here and now.
        The stations on the Via Sacra include:

        the Great Zittau Lenten Cloth in the largest museum display case in the world
        the Cathedral of St. Petri in Bautzen - the oldest and largest simultaneous church in Germany
        the easternmost vineyard in the country in the Cistercian monastery of St. Marienthal
        the Johanniter monastery Český Dub/Böhmisch Aicha with the only surviving early medieval memorial in northern Bohemia.
