The second part of the ascent towards Malga Ungarina & Malga Confin is ideal for "mountain cyclists" with special requirements. First you go through the forest, permanently on very well built hairpin bends/serpentines as you know them from Italy's mountain roads (concrete, gullies). Arriving at the tree line, there is a view of the mountain peaks and finally the driveway is crowned by a "concrete-curve-serpentine section". The only thing that bothers you on the descent are the wide gullies built into the concrete at intervals of 5-10 meters. This requires mindfulness with lots of braking and paying attention to avoid falls.
