The Mas di Sabe is one of the oldest tabià in the Val di Zoldo. The typical rural building, still in perfect condition, dates back to the 16th century. The Mas di Sabe was one of the three farms in the locality, together with the Mas de Mèz and the Mas di Ru Sech. In 1538 two brothers lived there, Zamaria and Menego Dal Mas, the former a coppersmith, owner of a cow and six sheep; the second was a farmer, owner of six cows and eight sheep. The building clearly shows the detachment between the twentieth-century annex, on the western part, similar to many other examples in the Zoldo area, and its older part, entirely in wood. The construction typology is particular. It is a combination of the "castle" technique (blockbau) with the "column" technique (standerbau). In practice, whole trunks and beams are surmounted and placed side by side through a system of crossings and joints. Perfect to the point that the entire framework has held up for hundreds of years.
