An impressive monument to the victims of World War I, built in 1926. Rejects from burning bricks were used for construction, but they were incorporated into the wall so cleverly that they create a kind of decoration. From a distance, the monument resembles a fragment of a fortress. What attracts attention is the window opening in the rear wall. It has the shape of a giant Teutonic sword.

In 1993, the municipal authorities of Maszewo, with the cooperation of the German side, renovated the monument and replaced it with a monument to the victims of both recent wars. During the renovation of the monument, two plaques with inscriptions in Polish and German were hung there. Both proclaim: "For peaceful coexistence in memory of the German and Polish victims of the world wars 1914-1918 and 1939-1945, living as a warning and reconciliation."
