The watermill in Tarnów has been historically documented since the 18th century. The current building was erected at the beginning of the 20th century, in 1903, on the site of a wooden predecessor, thanks to Stefan von Borcke. The ceramic brick building with a high roof has 4 floors. The main building is adjoined from the north by the building of the hydroelectric power plant, which has been functioning to this day. The original technical equipment from before 1945 has been preserved - transmission and milling equipment.
The inhabitants of the Tarnowo village are characterized by attention to order in their households. Thanks to the commitment of the inhabitants, the village was awarded in the competition "The most beautiful village" in the district of Łobez. It is not without reason that the current owner (since 2005) of "Młyn nad Stara Regą" chose this town for his business - his grandparents settled in this village after the war. Immediately after purchasing the mill, he began renovation and within two years he and his wife transformed the dilapidated and neglected building into a thriving conference/wedding center.
