Radevormwald · The Wupperschiene association has completed the renovation of the first bridge in Wilhelmstal. The renovation of the second bridge is ongoing (04/26/2022).

"14 kilometers of railway history...

The association Die Wupperschiene was founded in the early 1990s and made it its overriding goal to preserve railway history in the Wupper valley. The association was able to acquire the section between Wuppertal-Beyenburg and Radevormwald-Wilhelmstal and place it under monument protection. Since 2012, the section from Rauental to Beyenburg has also been owned by the association – a total of 14 kilometers. In the history of the club, the structures along the route have been renovated so that historic trains can run on the route in the near future. The route is currently being used by handcars from the Wuppertrail association. ..."
