    Maokong Gondola takes about 30 minutes to drive to Maokong Mountain, a popular recreational area in Taipei. In the evening and on weekends, however, there may be longer waiting times. Popular with the locals are the tea houses and restaurants on the "Maokong". There are also countless hiking trails on the mountain, with many great, lonely places.
