In the center of Sint-Truiden is the Grote Markt, which nowadays serves as a location for major events and paid parking. After research it became clear that neither Sint-Truiden nor the other cities could legitimately claim this title. The measurements showed that the second largest Grote Markt is located in Sint-Lievens-Houtem, and that Sint-Truiden only has the fifth largest market in Belgium.
