a late medieval village church in the district of Rostock (MV)
Was built in the middle of the 13th century by Westphalian settlers as a strong, heavy fieldstone building. Unlike many village churches, there were no longer periods of time between the construction of the choir, nave and tower. However, it still took about 100 years to complete, which also explains the transition from round arched windows in the chancel to pointed arched windows in the nave. Bricks were used for the gables, portal and windows.
