A PLANET is a celestial body that orbits the sun and whose mass is sufficiently large that they have assumed an approximately spherical shape. Tidal forces act reciprocally between the mother planet and the moon, moons influence the stability of ring systems and their rotation adapts over time to the orbital frequency of the planet. The number of moons is noted on the planetary panels.

An ASTEROID is a small body that moves in an orbit around the sun, but is significantly smaller than a dwarf planet and cannot form a spherical shape due to lack of mass. Most orbit in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, the best known include Pallas, Vesta, Juno, Iris, Hebe, Hygiea, Astraea and many more. m.

Such an object is called a METEOROID if it is only a few millimeters to a few meters in size. If they cross the earth's orbit and get into the atmosphere, you can see them light up as meteors or shooting stars.
