"Ferryman get it". For more than 500 years (first mention in 1471), there is a ferry at the Missunder Enge. One suspects, however, that many people were transferred by boat from one side to the other much earlier. Already in 1115, Missunde is called "Versundt" in historical sources. During the Schleswig-Holstein survey and the German-Danish war, the narrowest part of the Schlei was a strategically important place and often fought over. Today, in peaceful times, we can use the ferry as a shortcut to get to the Schwansener side. On the ferry fit max. 8 cars, with trailer even less. Open: Tuesday-Sunday approx. 12.00-approx.19.30, closed on Mondays.

It is a real experience to use the ferry, you almost get a little nostalgic when you stand on the bank and it slowly approaches. And: If the ferry is on the other side and doesn't glide over the Schlei on its own - no problem - a short ring is enough.
