At 1,241 meters, the Kandel is the highest mountain in the central Black Forest and a popular destination for hikers, skiers and mountain bikers.

The top of the Kandel offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside, including the Rhine Valley, the Vosges Mountains and the Feldberg. To reach the summit, there are several hiking trails that lead through the picturesque Black Forest landscape.
